Carla Fortes
I have more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer with a generalist technical profile, experience in start-ups, in the formation and consolidation of teams, management processes and legal routines, working in large companies and Brazilian offices.
Graduated in Law, she obtained a postgraduate degree in Business Law and State and Regulatory Law in Brazil. I moved to Portugal in 2018, starting a postgraduate course in Advanced Tax Management at ISEG – Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão at the University of Lisbon and in 2019 I joined the Master’s in Tax Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
I enjoy working at the forefront of legal practice that requires innovation and a dynamic approach to the law. I worked as Legal Director of a large group undergoing judicial recovery before moving my residence to Portugal.
Currently, I am a consulting partner at Rennó Penteado Sampaio Advogados, a Brazilian law firm, and I work independently in Portugal providing legal advice to foreign clients and investors on immigration issues, Portuguese nationality, Portuguese and international tax law and real estate investments.
